Cottages
Our aim is to provide high quality, friendly, comfortable and clean holiday accommodation. We have three cottages, Buttermere, Crummock and Loweswater, all of which have achieved VisitEngland 5 star with Gold Award rating and consistently score 100% for cleanliness. We regularly have over 70% returning guests which is a clear indication of visitor satisfaction.
The cottages are warm and very well furnished with guests’ comfort and enjoyment in mind. They are equipped and maintained to the highest standard and we provide digital TV, DVD, radio, reading lights and a wide selection of books and guides. The kitchens are equipped with electric double oven cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine/tumble dryer. The cottages have landline phones as mobile signal is limited. Free wireless Internet is available in all cottages. All bedding and towels are provided.
Outside, each cottage has its own sitting area with picnic table where guests can eat, read, take in the views and watch the local birds and red squirrels.
There is ample off-road parking and lockable bike sheds can be provided.
Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement: there is a small pet charge.
Travel cot (excluding bedding) and high chair are available at no extra charge.
Holidays run from Saturday to Saturday.

Thank you so much for your warm welcome, Joan. We’ve had a lovely holiday in Loweswater Cottage in this stunning, peaceful area. Our ‘home’ this week is full of character and so well placed for walks (appropriate to the weather) direct from the door – and the Kirkstile Inn!
We’ve had a truly lovely stay in Buttermere Cottage. Joan is clearly a pro knowing how to look after guests. We had everything we could have needed. A brilliant week with glorious walks, rides and views to remember.
